Two EPDP Branches in Germany Hold New Year 2015 Meetings

To rededicate themselves for renewed and more effective struggle in the New Year, two of the three branches of the Eritrean People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) held their respective meetings during the first three weeks of January 2015.

Germany Brabches1The 3 January meeting of the EPDP branch in Cologne/Bonn and environs was addressed by the chairman of the German sub-zone, Mr. Tesfamariam Kibreab, Cologne branch chairman, Mr. Andebrahan Yohannes, Mr. Ibrahim Atta, finance officer for the Cologne branch, and Mr. Haji Salih Saeed, chairman of the Frankfurt branch, who updated the meeting on latest developments affecting Eritrea and its people and urged members to work with dedication to mobilize youth for the struggle.

Germany branches2Meanwhile, the EPDP branch for Frankfurt and environs, which held its New Year meeting on 18 January, was addressed on different subjects by Mr. Afeworki Abbai, leadership member of the German sub-zone; Haji Salih Saeed, Frankfurt branch chairman; Ms Feven Gideon, general secretary of the Frankfurt branch, and Mr. Kibrom Andom, finance officer of the branch. Besides discussing current events and problems facing Eritrean refugees, the speakers reminded branch members of the responsibilities awaiting every party member to promote the objectives of the current struggle to remove a repressive regime and replace it by a democratic system of governance.   In particular, Mr. Afeworki Abbai presented a well prepared awareness lecture on the character of the dictatorial regime in Asmara and the role of the young generations of Eritreans both at home and in diaspora.
