PFDJ Thugs Taking the Law on Their Hands

The lawlessness practices of PFDJ got into the wrong territory on Sunday May 9, 2010.  An Eritrean citizen was beaten by mob of PFDJ thugs in Houston, Texas.  Our Sources say, PFDJ had a public meeting and the guest speaker was none other than the infamous Sofia Tesfamariam.  Tedros Mengistu came to attend the public meeting.  Immediately he was approached by a local PFDJ chair by the name of Ugbai Gerezghiher and asked him to leave.  Tedros responded by saying, “I am not leaving it is my right to listen and ask”.  Soon a mob came and attacked him calling him, “traitor, Wayane etc”.  Our sources confirmed Tedros was taken to a local hospital and he was released after treatment.  Our sources also said police are investigating and legal actions are underway.

Tedros is a recent arrival to the USA from Shimelba, Ethiopia.  Before he escaped Eritrea, he used to work at the ministry of information.  He was jailed for a period of time with the other journalists and released.  As soon as he was released he escaped to Ethiopia.  Sources say, he now publishes a local newsletter called “Selam”.

We salute Tedros for his courageous action and standing for his right.  We condemn the lawless actions of PFDJ thugs.  In the land of law, justice will prevail
