Milan, June 20, 2011. EveryOne Group has been contacted by a humanitarian activist in Egypt, who - together with a group of physicians for human rights - is able to take medicines to sub-Saharan prisoners being held in the Sinai. The man, who has been working with refugees for years, has the trust of the governors of the eight prisons in Northern Sinai and the authorities. EveryOne Group is asking the United Nations, the European Union and humanitarian organizations such as the Red Cross and Red Crescent to meet this aid worker and provide him with the medicines necessary for saving many innocent lives. The lack of drugs, in fact, is a major cause of mortality in Egyptian prisons, particularly in the Sinai.
